The Leiden PhD Committee seeks to create an open group for dialogue among the many and diverse fields of research taking place at Leiden University’s Faculty of Archaeology.
The international and interdisciplinary nature of our community would certainly benefit from more informal discussion and interaction. Open to all PhD students in the Faculty of Archaeology, this student run initiative will present PhDebates sessions aimed at discussing topics accessible to a diverse range of temporal and spatial research (e.g. mobility, landscapes, heritage).
With the great number of archaeological research projects, this group endeavours not only to create an open platform for new and exciting interdisciplinary research, but equally to develop the PhD community with bottom-up initiatives.
Please feel free to contact us with new ideas for sessions and broader methodological, social, or theoretical doctoral interaction.
