Research

His research focuses on the investigation of the structure of activities within the fortress of Sabi Abyad. This will be done through the analysis of finds and their spatial distribution within the complex using GIS as a methodology. This will provide insights into what activities were undertaken where in the Dunnu. This will tell us more about the role the fortress played in the region and in the Assyrian empire.

The PhD research is part of the project Consolidating Empire. Reconstructing Hegemonic Practices of the Middle Assyrian Empire at the Late Bronze Age fortified Estate of Tell Sabi Abyad, Syria, ca. 1230-1180 BC.More information.
